Photographer and wife to Virgin Media star Martin King, Jenny McCarthy gave her social media followers an update on her health as she prepares to undergo surgery.
She recently revealed that a tumour that was removed in 2011 appeared to be growing back after "swollen tissue" was discovered.
Jenny recently took to Instagram to give an update, posting a photo outside a doctor's office and writing "and so the prep for my surgery in two weeks begins".
She then thanked her followers for their support and explained what was happening.
She said: "Yes, I went in to have all my pre-op bits and bobs done this morning - my bloods, ECG and all that kind of stuff, so at least that’s done now and I won’t have to see Beaumont hospital for another few weeks.
"I'll be in [hospital] for up to seven days and then I'll have six weeks off."
Jenny shared the news of the swollen tissue earlier this month, telling fans that it wasn't "the worst news".
She said: "Some of you may already know that I had a brain tumour removed successfully in 2011 by an incredible person, Professor Ciaran Bolcer at Beaumont Hospital.
"Unfortunately, after a recent brain scan, it seems there is new activity. This means there is some swollen tissue which is probably the tumour growing back.
"Ciaran has assured me that after surgery, I will need to take six weeks off but after that I’ll be back doing what I love and that’s documenting weddings, newborn baby and portrait shoots and of course, bringing out more incredible wedding and baby products."
"This surgery will take place in early February. Meanwhile, the incredible Amy who works with me will still be shooting," she added.
