Top Boy star Jasmine Jobson has hit back after facing a backlash after she and co-star Kadeem Ramsay revealed they were dating.
Jobson, 28, plays Jaq in the smash hit crime drama while Ramsay, 26, played Kit in the series, which he left in 2022 after first appearing in season two back in 2013.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, Jobson posted a picture showing the two kissing during a romantic trip to France, ending weeks of speculation that they were an item.
However, she was soon forced to disable comments on the post after facing a barrage of abuse over the image.
She then followed it up with a post about kindness on her Instagram Stories.Jobson's character on the Netflix series is a lesbian and according to the Daily Mail, cruel trolls used the comment section of the snap to speculate over her sexuality in real life.
Hitting back, she penned: "I'm an ACTRESS. My job is to play dress-up & pretend. I take a script and make it palatable for your eyes to watch. I am also a HUMAN BEING, LIKE ALL OF YOU, just living my life. Be kind."
They were first linked together earlier this month after she teased online that they were planning to jet off to Ibiza together.
A source told The Sun: "Jasmine and Kadeem have been quietly dating for some time and are often seen out and about together. Since the series ended they have become more relaxed and Jasmine has started giving glimpses of her love life on social media."
