Alaska Airlines (ALK) might not be as well known as some of the more marquee names in the airline industry. It’s not a name that the public is as instantly familiar with as, say, Delta (DAL). Part of the reason for this is that the airline offers limited flights to the East Coast or outside of America, which limits its appeal.
But Alaska Airlines fans appreciate its customer service, which includes perks like free messaging (even if you don’t pay extra for on-air Wi-Fi) and staggered boarding process, as well as the airline’s reputation for safety (it was voted the safest domestic airline in 2021). It also has a number of loyalty programs, including the Flight Pass, which was introduced last year and which offers nonstop flights throughout California plus Phoenix, Las Vegas and Salt Lake City.

It’s a monthly subscription at a rate that doesn’t increase, and is cheaper than a traditional ticket, but is only appealing to people who frequently travel along the West Coast.
The Flight Pass comes with six to 24 round trips each year, and access to any flight between 15 destinations in California, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah with no blackout dates at a fixed monthly rate. Customers also earn at least 500 points per flight, and there are no change fees.
The exact fare varies, but until March 8, customers can get a 20% discount for the first three months they use it. As pointed out by Travel Weekly, one popular option is the $49-per-month service that includes six roundtrip flights a year.
