Top 70s names making a comeback as viewers gripped by Daisy Jones & The Six

Daisy Jones & The Six has taken Amazon Prime viewers by storm, immersing fans in the thrilling rock and roll scene of the 1970s. It's now thought parents-to-be could well be influenced by this burst of nostalgia when it comes to choosing baby names.

Experts believe '70s era baby names could well make a comeback thanks to the emotional, compelling story of Daisy Jones & The Six, which features a number of 'traditional' character names.

Some are still widely used today, with names such as Daisy, Teddy, Billy, and Eddie not looking out of place at all in a modern-day nursery.

Other names, such as Rod and Graham, are no longer anywhere near as popular, however, baby naming experts from Bella Baby reckon this could be about to change "at any time".

According to these experts: "Baby names from the '70s may be making a comeback thanks to Daisy Jones And The Six. We've famously seen shows and pop culture inspire baby names and this instance may be no different.

"Although names have very much evolved since the '70s, it only takes one hit show to bring a '70s trend (or '70s baby name) back."

They continued: "We have seen in the past that baby names are often inspired by popular culture - whether that be through celebrities or television shows. Therefore, it would not be uncommon for a parent-to-be to name their baby after a character in a show like this."
