Tripadvisor is offering up plenty of staycation inspiration as it's unveiled the top 10 UK destinations emerging as holiday hotspots for spring 2022.
The two Welsh hamlets of Brithdir and Llanberis right by Snowdonia National Park came first and second respectively, while the town of Fulford in North Yorkshire also made the podium.
To determine the trending hotspots, Tripadvisor looked at the destinations seeing the biggest year-on-year growth in terms of clicks from Brits on the travel site.
The small village of Brithdir has been seeing the biggest interest from Brits according to the research. Its location is no doubt a big draw with easy access to Snowdonia National Park, as well as other lush green forest parks, beaches and plenty of fun family attractions in the region.

The village of Llanberis was closely behind in emerging popularity, boasting a location near the foot of Mount Snowdon making it an ideal base for intrepid explorers and hikers.
The historic village of Fulford took the third spot. It's a short drive away from York so can be an ideal base for those wanting to explore the city, but want somewhere to escape the main hustle and bustle.
Some classic staycation destinations also made the cut, seeing an increase in interest from Brits. For example city breaks in Cambridge and Manchester are proving particularly popular, while Brighton continues to draw in UK holidaymakers looking for a seaside escape.
While countries are easing their Covid travel rules for Brits such as ending pre-travel Covid tests and ditching quarantine rules, it seems that UK holidays could continue to reign supreme in the coming months.
In fact, the Tripadvisor research found that over three-quarters of Brits have said they plan to travel within the UK between March and May this year.
