The eye-watering bonuses contained in Erling Haaland 's contract have made him one of the best paid footballers in the world.
The Norwegian joined Manchester City in the summer transfer window, arriving as one of the highest-rated strikers in the sport. As a result, City opted to hand him a bumper contract, with newly-published bonuses making him the highest-paid player in the Premier League.
According to the Daily Mail, those bonuses are easy for the striker to hit, taking him to a pay packet of £865,000 per week. Here, Mirror Football looks at where that wage places him among the highest-paid stars in the world.
10. Sadio Mane (Bayern Munich) – £350,000 per week
After realising that Liverpool would not be handing him the pay rise that he wanted, Sadio Mane decided to depart Anfield. He pushed through a move to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in the summer window.
Bayern chose to make him their highest-paid player, with Mane taking over from Robert Lewandowski as their main man. The £350,000 per week he now earns is a major bump from the wages he was on at Liverpool, according to the Radio Times.

9. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) – £350,000 per week
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah signed his own bumper contract in the summer, committing his future to Liverpool. The attacker is now the highest-paid player at Anfield after long negotiations finally resulted in a deal being reached.
The departure of Sadio Mane and the waning influence of Roberto Firmino meant that the Reds could afford to bump up Salah's pay.
8. David De Gea (Man Utd) – £375,000 per week
Up until the start of last season, David de Gea was the Premier League's highest-paid player. He signed a long-term contract in the summer of 2019 that will keep him at Old Trafford until the end of this season.
At the same time, it made him the highest-paid player at United, with the Spaniard taking home £375,000 per week. While he has been overtaken in terms of Premier League wages, he remains the world's highest-paid goalkeeper.
7. Eden Hazard (Real Madrid) – £380,000 per week
His move to Real Madrid may have turned into a disaster, but Eden Hazard still takes home a bumper pay packet. Hazard joined Los Blancos in 2019 from Chelsea, being handed a wage of £380,000 per week.
But he has never been able to show the form that earned him his move to the Santiago Bernabeu. The Belgian has made just four appearances so far this season, with three coming from the bench, but he is sitting pretty on his hefty wage.
6. Kevin De Bruyne (Man City) – £400,000 per week
Before Haaland's arrival, it was Kevin de Bruyne who was the highest-paid player at Manchester City. De Bruyne earns more than British record signing Jack Grealish, matching his status as one of the best players in the world.
The midfielder signed his last contract in April 21, taking his pay up to the £400,000 per week mark. That makes him the third highest-paid player in the Premier League, with another three years to run on his deal.
5. Cristiano Ronaldo (Man Utd) – £515,000 per week
It is little surprise that Cristiano Ronaldo was made the Premier League's highest-paid player when he returned to Manchester United last summer. The Portuguese superstar takes home more than £500,000 per week, though his contract is up this summer.
Despite his status as one of the greatest players of all time, he is not in the top three highest-paid players. This could even be his final big contract, with few obvious options for his next club.
4. Neymar (PSG) – £606,000 per week
It will surprise no-one that three of the four highest-paid players in the world play for Paris Saint-Germain. The 'lowest' paid of that trio is Neymar, who is the most expensive player of all time, having been bought for £200million in 2017.
His £606,000 per week wage brings him more than £30million a year before his bonuses come in. But rather than see that money lead to success, the Ligue 1 side are still yet to win the Champions League since he arrived.

While Haaland's basic wage reportedly earns him a similar wage to Manchester City's other highest-earners, the bonuses in his contract hands him an eye-watering pay packet. Some of those bonuses are likely to revolve around goals, with the Norwegian already scoring 19 times for City.
Those bonuses make him the highest-paid player in the Premier League and the third-highest in the world. If he continues to score at this rate, he could even earn far more with his next contract.
2. Lionel Messi (PSG) – £960,000 per week
Considered to be the greatest player of all time by many, it is no surprise that Messi is also one of the highest-paid players in the world. Upon his move to PSG last summer, the Argentine was handed a huge pay packet.
He brings home £960,000 per week, earning him £25m per year in base salary after tax. He was unable to reward that pay day with a Champions League title last season, but he will hope to finally bring that trophy to the Parc des Princes this year.

One of the sagas of last season was the future of Kylian Mbappe, who was bring eyed by Real Madrid. In a surprise move though, he opted to extend his stay at PSG and was handed an eye-watering salary in return for that loyalty.
Mbappe has three years left to run on his deal, which brings him a weekly pay packet of a huge £1.6m per week. It is the largest contract in the history of football, marking him out as the next superstar of world football.
