Jordan Henderson has vowed Liverpool will be 'back stronger' next season after missing out on the Premier League title and a seventh European Cup in cruel circumstances.
Jurgen Klopp's side ended the 2021/22 campaign with two pieces of silverware secured, winning a domestic double and narrowly missing out on an unprecedented quadruple. Despite the Reds' near misses in both the English top-flight and Europe's elite competition, it has been a season to be proud of regardless.
Supporters of the club reinforced this message by turning out in numbers for the club's trophy parade last Sunday, paying respect to the efforts of the first-team who reached three finals and hunted Manchester City down to the final day in the league.

HAVE YOUR SAY: What do Liverpool need this summer?
After missing out on the Premier League by a single point in 2018/19, Klopp's men went one better the following year and will be hoping history repeats itself as Liverpool look to challenge the City for glory in 2022/23. Reflecting on the ups and downs of a successful yet Covid-disrupted season, Henderson wrote on Instagram: "Took me a few days to reflect on the whole season and looking back what an extraordinary season it was. Couldn't be more proud of my team mates and everything that we’ve given this season.
"Thank you to all the fans who’ve supported us throughout, together we have shared moments that will be remembered forever. Didn't end the way we wanted of course but that's football. We are Liverpool and will be back stronger! Enjoy the break. See you all again soon to create more memories together. #YNWA"
The Reds' captain will now enjoy a break from football after being left out of the England squad for upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures this month. Trent Alexander-Arnold has been included by Gareth Southgate, however, and could feature in games against Hungary (X2), Germany and Italy to be played over the next fortnight.
