‘Too comfortable’ Marcus Rashford advised to make Manchester United exit

Marcus Rashford has been linked with a move away from Manchester United this summer after a dismal season. The striker has started just 13 Premier League games and has only lasted the full 90 minutes three times. In fact, he has played just one full match in four months.

His on-field demeanour seemingly indicates that his confidence is shot having not scored or assisted since early February. Many supporters feel Rashford's decline has been indicative of United ’s desperately drab season.

Recently, reports have suggested that he could be on the move this summer despite the impending arrival of Erik ten Hag. His performances against Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea have done little to tame the speculation, with the attacker looking far from content.

It led to Jamie Redknapp suggesting that it may benefit Rashford if he does exit Old Trafford and start afresh. He cited the England international’s on-pitch displays, suggesting they have lacked vigour.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Redknapp said: “I think it might be best for him to move on and try something different. He looks too comfortable.”

Among those touted to make a move for Rashford, whose contract lasts until 2023, are Arsenal. Mikel Arteta is on the hunt for a striker with Alexandre Lacazette set to leave this summer following Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s January switch to Barcelona.
