In late 2023, best-selling author and renowned life coach Tony Robbins was approached by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to be his running mate for the upcoming presidential election. According to a source familiar with the conversations, Kennedy reached out to Robbins on at least two occasions.
Robbins, however, expressed that he was unable to commit to a political campaign at this time due to family and business obligations. The source also revealed that there were notable political differences between Robbins and Kennedy, which likely influenced Robbins' decision.
Despite declining the offer, Robbins, aged 64, has a history of advising world leaders and multiple US presidents from both Democratic and Republican administrations. The source emphasized that Robbins values working across the political spectrum.
Meanwhile, Kennedy is set to announce his choice for vice president on March 26 in Oakland, California. His shortlist of potential running mates includes notable figures such as NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers, former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura, former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, Sen. Rand Paul, and former presidential candidate Andrew Yang.
Additionally, Kennedy has engaged in discussions with individuals like former television host Mike Rowe and civil rights attorney Tricia Lindsay. To appear on the ballot, Kennedy must name a vice presidential candidate in 23 states, with his campaign aiming to qualify in all 50 states and Washington, DC.
As of now, Kennedy is only on the ballot in Utah, but his campaign claims to have gathered enough signatures to qualify in New Hampshire, Nevada, and Hawaii. A super PAC supporting his candidacy also asserts that they have met the requirements in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, and South Carolina.
