Mark Fotheringham says he'll have full respect when meeting Celtic trendsetter Tony Mowbray this week.
The former Parkhead boss is credited with bringing the iconic huddle to the club during his time as a player, but his managerial stint didn't provide the same impact. Mowbray is now managing at English Championship side Sunderland, who meet with Huddersfield Town on Wednesday, managed by another former Hoops man in Fotheringham.
His career as a player started at Celtic but he has found more success after hanging up his boots, the former midfielder now in a senior position in England's second tier following time in Germany. Fotheringham's team are looking for back-to-back victories after beating Hull on Saturday and his counterparts impact in Glasgow leaves him filled with admiration. He said: "Sunderland are a very dangerous team, they have got many offensive players that can hurt us on the day.

"They play exciting football and they have got a fantastic manager there in Tony Mowbray, who’s a very well-respected man in the game.
"He’s someone that I respect as well because he was the captain of Glasgow Celtic when I was a young guy and he created the huddle and all these things.
“He’s a person that I very much look up to, however when the whistle goes at the weekend it becomes competitive.”
