Legendary singer Tony Bennett's two daughters have filed a lawsuit against their brother, accusing him of mismanaging and withholding information about their father's assets as the trustee of his estate. The lawsuit, filed in New York, alleges that the brother failed to disclose all proceeds from the recent sale of Tony Bennett's catalog and image rights to a brand development firm.

The court filing claims that the sisters have not been provided with sufficient details about the transaction despite repeated requests, leaving it unclear which music assets and other properties were included in the deal. The brother, who also served as the singer's manager, has been accused of benefiting personally from transactions made on behalf of Tony Bennett, the family trust, and Benedetto Arts LLC.

The lawsuit seeks unspecified equitable relief, a full accounting of the trust, and the turnover of receipts, disbursements, expenditures, and tax returns. Despite some information being provided by the brother and his counsel, the filing states that the details provided have raised more questions than answers and have not offered a comprehensive overview of Tony Bennett's assets and financial affairs.

Tony Bennett, known for his iconic renditions of classic American songs such as “I Left My Heart In San Francisco,” passed away last July at the age of 96. His career spanned over 70 albums and earned him 19 Grammy Awards. Bennett had been battling Alzheimer's disease since 2016, although no specific cause of death was disclosed.
