Noel Gallagher has said that champagne will be falling from the skies over Manchester after his beloved City beat Inter to win the Champions League Final. Noel regularly attends City games home and away but missed out on the Blues securing their first European cup to secure the treble in Istanbul last night.
Noel had to miss out on the biggest match in the club's history as he is currently on tour with his High Flying Birds in the United States. This follows the release of his new album - Council Skies - with the cover photo for the album shot outside City's old home of Maine Road.
Being on tour did not stop the former Oasis guitarist and songwriter seeing City complete history with their 1-0 victory last night. Noel was able to find a watch party in San Diego, California, where he watched on with a number of fellow Citizens.

Video shared on social media during the game showed fans serenading the rock'n'roll star with Oasis hit Don't Look Back in Anger, with Noel encouraging the crowd. And after the final whistle a clip of an emotional Noel cheering and embracing fellow fans after the trophy was secured.
It's been quite the journey for City who dropped down into the old Third Division during Oasis's heyday in the 1990s. Brother Liam previously tweeted the volatile band would reform if City completed the third leg of their trophy treble.
Speaking after the final, Noel told BT Sport: "Tonight, the Manchester rain will taste like champagne." He also said this will certainly not be the last trophy City win.
"This is the end of the beginning,” he added. “This is only the start."
Noel previously spoke of his upset at not being able to attend the game due to being on tour, blaming the change to the football schedule due to last year's World Cup for not being at the game.
He said: "I won't be in Istanbul – I always make sure the dates around the Champions League are free and usually that's always around the end of May. What wasn't factored in was the World Cup and the knock-on effect. I'm contractually obliged to play the gig no matter what and I'm OK with that – I will watch the game in a San Diego bar. If City win and Haaland scores a hat-trick I'll be going on in my underpants."
Continuing celebrations will centre on Manchester on Monday when the team will hold an open-top bus parade to mark their treble – only previously achieved by city rivals Manchester United in 1999.
