Tommy Robinson has given us a bad name

On behalf of the overwhelming majority of the nation’s Robinsons – the 15th most common surname in the UK – could I ask you to use only the real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon when reporting on a particularly nasty piece of work who has arrogated to himself the use of our wholesome family name Are the authorities powerless to stop Tommy Robinson’s online output?, 5 August) With warm thanks in anticipation of your support.

• In 1989 many Liverpool citizens started to boycott the Sun after it misrepresented them following the tragedy in Hillsborough. After Elon Musk has poked this bear by suggesting the UK is drifting towards a civil war (No 10 criticises Elon Musk for ‘civil war is inevitable’ post on England riots, 5 August), is it time for some of you to simply delete whatever it’s called from your phones?
