The Diamondbacks won Game 3 on Wednesday night to sweep the Dodgers, in large part thanks to a huge third inning. Arizona hit four home runs off Lance Lynn in one inning, becoming the first team in MLB history to do that in the postseason.
Arizona’s rally started when No. 9 hitter Geraldo Perdomo hit a solo shot, and he was followed by Ketel Marte, Christian Walker and Gabriel Moreno all doing the same. Outfielder Tommy Pham, who grounded out in the middle of the inning, humorously described what it was like to watch the big inning from his teammates.
“Domo got one and I was like, ‘Hell yeah.’ Marte crushed one, I was like, ‘Hell yeah.’ C-Walk blasted one and I'm like, ‘Daamn.’ Then Moreno hit the foul ball and I'm like, ‘Ah damn.’ Very next pitch, he blasted one, I’m like, ‘Hell yeah,’” Pham said, via Theo Mackie.

Pham has only been on the Diamondbacks since near the trade deadline, but he established himself as a key member of the team, consistently starting in left field and batting third. Arizona has now won five straight postseason games to advance to the NLCS, thanks to contributions from all over the lineup.
For the Diamondbacks to keep this streak going, they are going to need the top of the lineup to produce like it did against the Dodgers. For now, though, they are celebrating being this year’s unlikely postseason success story.
