Tommy Fury vs Rolly Lambert fight booed as Jake Paul involved in farcical scenes

Tommy Fury's exhibition bout against Rolly Lambert saw the Manchester fighter subjected to boos as his hastily arranged fight against the American cruiserweight descended into farcical scenes.

Fury took on Lambert after Paul Bamba withdrew from their scheduled bout after Fury came in above weight yesterday. This led to Lambert being drafted in for the fight after an impressive 15-1-0 record during his career to date.

However, it became clear during the fight that it was not a real contest as would have been expected by the fans, with boos ringing out through the Coca Cola Arena. The biggest attraction during the fight was Jake Paul's scathing commentary, with the American declaring the fight a waste of time and money.

Paul was invited onto commentary and did not appear to know his role as he delivered a series of scathing remarks about Fury. He kept shouting at the British younger brother of Tyson, which provoked John Fury to remove his shirt in the wake of the fight and challenge Paul.

After a boring contest, the post-fight scenes were somewhat remarkable, with Fury following up his father's antics by challenging Paul to enter the ring. The 'no winner' result was snuck through during the post-fight scenes, which were frankly bizarre for those who may have been tuning into such an event for the first time.

Paul did not rise to Fury's challenge to join him in the ring, instead choosing to continue his taunts from ringside. The scenes will not have been well received by boxing enthusiasts, with the antics distracting from what was a poor exhibition fight, albeit with credit to both fighters who did not know they would be facing each other when they woke up this morning.
