Tommy Fury's dad John has confirmed the rising star will take on long-term rival Jake Paul on February 25.
Fury has been a long-term rival of YouTube star Paul who has launched his career in the boxing ring, with the pair first agreeing to a fight after the American's win over Tyron Woodley. The first attempt at making a showdown collapsed with Fury forced to withdraw, before a second signed deal collapsed with the British star unable to travel to the US for the fight.
Now it appears a deal has been agreed for the pair to do battle at the third time of asking, with Paul deciding to give his rival another chance despite initial reluctance. And Fury's dad John, who has been at the centre of the rivalry for several months, has vowed his son will accept nothing less than an early stoppage win.
"Yeah that is the case we are scheduled for February 25. We are ahead of schedule, training hard and looking forward to getting it on," Fury Sr told Mirror Fighting courtesy of FreeBets.com. "Do I see Jake Paul as a threat in this fight? No, absolutely not I am seeing him as a heavy bag with arms that is going to get knocked out. We will see what he is made of but unless I see a totally different man come to the ring, he doesn't have a prayer.
"He is messing with a live young strong man who has a big point to prove. One is a natural fighter that can dig deep, we have had some wars in the gym with world class men and he is pleasing to watch. We get the chance to close that big mouth of Jake Paul. He is getting a real good hiding. We are not looking to win on points.
"We are away from home and I believe he is a co-promoter so we are looking to knock him out. That is what we are training to do knock him out. Tommy is a big strong man who wants to win, he is all round too good for him. He has been tested a couple of times with a lot better fighters than Jake Paul and has come through with flying colours."

Fury was embroiled in a heated argument with Paul following his Dubai exhibition with Rolly Lambert, which saw the pair talk up a potential showdown. Paul has recently signed a deal with MMA promotion PFL and was understood to be exploring a fight with Nate Diaz, but instead elected to step in with Fury next.
A win for Fury could set up further clashes with influencers including Paul's rival KSI or he could instead elect to return to the traditional ranks and chase a British title. Paul could do with a huge win to set up a showdown with long-term foe KSI himself, or he too could step up his opposition if he is to fulfil his ambitious shot at becoming a world champion.
