Tommy Fury has insisted Jake Paul simply guessed that his partner Molly Mae Hague had given birth before leaking the news.
Paul and Fury will touch gloves on February 26 in Saudi Arabia after signing on the dotted line at the third time of asking to settle their rivalry. The announcement was delayed by a few days which many speculated was down to Fury's partner Hague giving birth with her due date around the same time.
Paul appeared to let the news slip that the fan-led theory was correct while announcing the fight on Twitter, writing: "After multiple failed attempts to get Tommy Fury in the ring, the moment of truth has finally arrived. Fumbles has no excuses now. Baby is born. Money is massive. Immigration is not an issue. Sunday February 26."
The YouTube star then faced criticism for leaking the news with many suggesting it was unfair to take the decision away from the former Love Island winners. However Fury has insisted he is excited for the heated fight build-up with the pair having already clashed during a face-off at the weekend.
He told Piers Morgan : "At the end of the day, all Jake Paul can do from wherever he is in this world is speculate, and that's all that was. Speculation, nothing is ever true unless you hear it from me and Molly. It's part and parcel, it's what we have to do. 'It comes with the entertainment business.
"That's what we're in, and me and Jake Paul are great dance partners, and I've enjoyed the build up so far, it's going to get a lot more heated, and I can't wait. Social media can't save Jake Paul, his mouth can't save him, it comes down to fighting."

Hague later announced that she had given birth to a baby girl alongside Fury, which they have decided to name Bambi. They announced the birth with a black and white image of the pair on Monday, with Hague also keeping fans update by posting a picture of Bambi watching her father during his interview with Morgan.
Despite news of the birth potentially disrupting his preparations, Fury has insisted he is ready to settle the scores once and for all to prove his reputation. "I've got my sole sight focused on Jake Paul," Fury told BBC Newsbeat. "By the time I get in the ring I'll be an absolute specimen and I'll be able to dismantle this man very quickly and very early.
"There's no way this man can beat me. There's not a chance in the world. Just because he's got 22 million followers on Instagram, that doesn't make it a 50-50 fight. I don't care, I'd fight this man on the moon and fight him in the parking lot outside. I'm not really interested. If it's Saudi, I'm happy to be coming to Saudi, putting on a show for everybody."
