Tommy Fury refuses to attend face-off with rival Jake Paul in Saudi Arabia

Jake Paul has claimed that Tommy Fury is refusing to attend their press conference next week in Saudi Arabia.

Love Island star Fury is scheduled to meet YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul over eight rounds at a catchweight of 185lb on February 26 in Riyadh. The Brit has pulled out of the fight twice before and he is now refusing to fly to the Middle East next week for a press conference with Paul to promote their grudge match.

Paul claimed Fury is refusing to attend the conference as he needs more time to train, tweeting: " Tommy Fury is scared. Told my team he can’t make the kick-off press conference next week in Saudi Arabia because he needs more time to train. Thought you said you wouldn’t even have to train to fight me? You and your papa scared."

Fury insisted he will attend a press conference during the week of his fight against Paul, also labelling the American a "sweaty goth" in his reply. "The press conference can wait until I get to Saudi Arabia you fool. I’ll be there on the 16th. 3 weeks and it’s over you big stiff sweaty goth," Fury wrote.

There is a lot of pressure on Fury's shoulders heading into his fight with Paul as brother Tyson has promised to leave him in Saudi Arabia if he loses. The heavyweight champion even proposed that his brother should quit boxing and get a job as Cristiano Ronaldo's personal trainer if Paul beats him.

Fury is training for the fight in Bolton whilst Paul is two hours from Saudi Arabia as he is training in Dubai. 'The Problem Child' called for Fury's dad John to retire his son from boxing if he loses, telling the 58-year-old: "You believe in your wee boy? Then make another video and confirm that you will retire him from boxing if he loses to me. Otherwise talk less and show up for once."

TV host Piers Morgan grilled Fury during a recent interview by stating it would be "unthinkable" to lose to Paul. Fury agreed with Morgan and insisted that his rival wouldn't be able to beat him even with a hammer in each of his hands, stating on TalkTV : "[Losing] is not an option.

"There is no way that this man could beat me even if he had a hammer in both hands. There’s no way, and I'm gonna exhibit that."
