Tommy Fury wants Jake Paul to move their fight to a neutral venue in a last-gasp attempt to rescue the doomed bout.
Paul announced earlier on Wednesday that he was terminating his fight contract with Fury after the Brit failed to convince him he could fly to America. Fury was told last week that he couldn't board a flight to America ahead of the launch press conference for their rescheduled fight date.
Paul is expected to announce tomorrow that he will fight Hasim Rahman Jr instead, but Fury is adamant that he could compete on August 6 if there were a change fo venue. The Brit stayed silent for the last week after telling fans why the press conference was off but took to social media to provide an update.
"I'm gutted and disappointed in regards to the issues I have faced with entry into the USA," he wrote."This is something that myself or my team could never have anticipated happening. This situation has been left with my lawyers as being denied entry into a country is obviously a very serious issue and it needs to be subsequently resolved.
"I am confident this fight will happen when this issue gets resolved and we come to a solution. I want to clarify that I will fight in a neutral country that both parties can enter. This can be any time, any place, anywhere."
In a statement posted to Twitter earlier today, Paul confirmed that he has put the wheels in motion to officially call off a second fight date with his rival. He has sent the Brit a "termination notice", and will announce his new opponent tomorrow.
"Fury’s received a termination notice," he said. "MVP [Most Valuable Promotions] did everything it could to help him and team. He wasn’t interested and he literally went into hiding. Second time in a row he has pulled out. second time in a row I’m going to step up and take on a new opponent on short notice. August 6. MSG."

The pair were initially due to fight on December 18 in Tampa, Florida, but the bout was called off when a rib injury forced Fury out. He returned with a win against Daniel Bocianski on his brother Tyson's Wembley Stadium undercard in April before rearranging a date with Paul.
In the meantime, the YouTube star took his record to 5-0 with a hastily arranged rematch against Tyron Woodley, the former UFC welterweight champion. He knocked out his old rival late in a lacklustre fight, before taking an extended break to focus on promoting Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano at Madison Square Garden.
Serrano will return on the same card as Paul vs Rahman Jr. She will fight for the unified featherweight titles against Brenda Carabajal in the co-headliner of the evening.
