Tommy Fury hits back at Jake Paul's strange "benevolent good" Instagram message

Tommy Fury has implored Jake Paul to back up his trash talk in the ring this weekend after watching his rival's outlandish new social media message.

Fury and Paul have been going back-and-forth for the past two years over social media, with limited interactions in the flesh despite signing to fight on two previous occasions. But they are now in Saudi Arabia for a clash at the Diriyah Arena on Saturday, going head-to-head at a heated press conference on Thursday.

Prior to their first meeting of fight week, Paul released a strange video on social media, declaring that his win over the weekend would be for the "greater benevolent good". Fury was baffled after watching the clip and joked that his rival should instead go back to acting in movies and TV.

"They've just showed it to me here," Fury told Mirror Fighting during an exclusive chat. "I think he needs a part in the new Creed film. Michael B Jordan needs to go and speak to him because that guy can ramble on, but again it's all s***, that's all that this stuff is.

"The guy is just talking and talking and talking but the beauty of it is that on Sunday night all of that talking goes out the window. When those 10oz gloves are on and he's in the middle of the ring? Oh you better be able to talk then."

Paul had threatened to "decapitate" Fury in his video, which was viewed millions of times across social media and showed him speaking to his phone camera dressed in white. He declared that he was on a spiritually higher level and that he will be fighting for much more than his opponent.

"Tommy, I hope you have enjoyed these last few moments of your career," Paul said. "This is it, you are going to be retired from boxing, disowned from your family and go back to your mother's maiden name after this. Your brother [ Tyson Fury ] isn't in the ring with you, your Dad, Molly-Mae [Hague] or even Bambi [his daughter].

"All that little cute motivation about fighting for her, all that s*** goes out of the window. I am coming to take your f***ing head off, I will decapitate you as I am a mean and angry person deep down. I am going to take it all out on your f***ing face, there is nothing you can do to f***ing beat me.

"I am built different, I want this more, I am more tapped in, I am more emotionally intelligent. I have worked harder every single day, I have a better team and a better support system. Guess what, me winning this fight is for the higher benevolent good of the universe.

"It is not just me in the ring it is all of my guidance, all of my spiritual helpers and all of the people protecting me. Together, we are going to collectively f*** you up, Tommy, you have four rounds and this is it for you."
