Tommy Fury explains why he won't celebrate even if he knocks out Jake Paul

Tommy Fury has insisted he won't celebrate a knockout win against Jake Paul because his rival is just "a YouTuber".

YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul and Love Island star Fury are scheduled to meet over eight rounds in Saudi Arabia tomorrow night after two previous bookings were cancelled. Bookies have Paul as the betting favourite for the fight despite the internet star only taking up boxing three years ago, whilst Fury has been involved in the sport for over a decade.

Heavyweight champion Tyson is confident his brother Tommy can get the job done and has bet £100,000 on him to knockout Paul. Fury is unbeaten in eight professional fights with just four of those wins coming by knockout and he explained why a stoppage win against 'The Problem Child' wouldn't be worth celebrating.

"Come that night when I knock him out, it’s not really gonna mean a whole heap to me,” Fury told Boxing Scene. “I mean, I’ve knocked out a YouTuber. Everybody expects me to do that anyway. It’s not like I’ve knocked out a reigning, defending world champion and I’m the new world champion. I’m fighting Jake Paul.

"He’s got six fights. He’s coming off a YouTuber’s background. I am expected to win this fight. So, I’m not gonna be jumping for joy when I knock him out because I know I was gonna do this all along. He’s the master of events, a lot of hype, but all along I’ve known, ever since me and him got coupled together, that there’s only one outcome. I know on February 26th you’ll see the outcome in real life. That’s it.”

Paul has mocked Fury for refusing to sign a contract for their pre-fight bet that would have seen the Brit walk away with double of his prize money if he wins. Fury's dad John accepted the bet on his son's behalf at Thursday's press conference and gave Paul his word that the contract would be signed before the fight.

But after weighing in at his career-lowest weight on Saturday afternoon, Paul claimed that Fury went "silent as a mouse" and refused to sign his half of the bet. The bitter rivals had to be separated after hitting the scales when Fury pushed Paul after they came-to-face in an intense staredown. Fury insisted he will end Paul's boxing career by knocking him out inside four rounds, whilst Paul predicted he will knockout the Brit.
