Jake Paul believes Tommy Fury is "not about that life" after he left the UK on the same day his rival toured London.
Paul was promoting Katie Taylor's clash with Amanda Serrano and appeared on TV and radio before attending a press conference.
And the YouTube star admits he was expecting - and partially hoping - that Fury would channel the likes of Shannon Briggs or Demetrius Andrade and show up at the event to push for their fight to be rescheduled.
The pair were supposed to square off in Florida last December, but Paul ended up having to hastily arrange a rematch with Tyron Woodley after Fury pulled out with a broken rib.
But while Paul was in the UK for the first time in almost three years, Fury jetted off to Dubai with his brother Tyson.
"I thought it would be smart of him to do that," Paul replied when asked by Mirror Fighting about Fury showing up to confront him. "But, obviously he's not about that life."
Paul and Fury's rivalry has been ongoing since the beginning of last year, when the pair began feuding on social media over the viewership for their fights.
To test the waters for a possible fight, Paul brought Fury to the US to fight sparring partner Anthony Taylor on the undercard of his fourth professional bout with Tyron Woodley.
And after both Paul and Fury picked up decision wins, the bout looked set to happen next until Fury's injury prevented him from fighting.
Fury is 7-0 as a professional boxer, and represents a step up, at least on paper, in competition from Paul's celebrity and UFC fighter opponents thus far.
"That fight has, I think, lost steam," Paul told Boxing Social. "Tommy's only sort of around and talked about because of me.
"He needs to go and get another fight under his belt, maybe go and fight Tyron Woodley, I'm not really interested in it."
Fury has returned to training in recent weeks, but has struggled to get the attention of Paul's team for a bout to be made for a second time.

He has insisted that he wants the fight to be next and will do anything in his power to make it happen, branding Paul scared of the fight.
"I really don't want to keep talking about this but I just can't stay silent after comments Jake Paul has made in a recent interview," said Fury, whose record stands at 7-0 to Paul's 5-0.
"I'm absolutely sick of Jake Paul saying that I was 'scared' to fight. I had a broken rib and a bacterial chest infection which left me completely medically unfit to box - as stated by multiple medical professionals.
"I'm now fit and healthy and have very clearly stated that I am ready to fight on a rescheduled date... but where is he?
"Me having to pull out the fight was the best thing that ever happened to him and he well knows my injury was legitimate.
"This man never wanted to fight me, if he did we'd have a rescheduled date for you all and the fight would be back on which is exactly what I want... The easiest fight of my career."
