Tommy Fury calls for third Jake Paul fight date after two cancellations

Tommy Fury has again called for a fight date with Jake Paul despite pulling out of two bouts with the YouTube star already.

The former Love Island star and undefeated professional boxer was supposed to face Paul earlier this month at Madison Square Garden, but was forced to cancel the fight after he had issues getting into America. It was the second time that he had been unable to fight his rival after suffering a rib injury during training camp for their scheduled meeting in December at Florida's Amalie Arena.

And now, he has once more implored Paul to give him a chance and make the fight happen, insisting that he is up for the challenge as long as the fight doesn't take place in America. Speaking with VIP Boxing Promotions, Fury indicated how he is feeling and what should be next for him.

"It's one of them where for both of us now, it's too far gone for it not to happen," he said. "It's been back and forth for a long time and in this game you need a dance partner as you've seen in his last fight where he couldn't sell over a few thousand tickets because nobody knew his opponent.

"In this game you need a good dance partner and I can't say it any fairer than this, I will fight you in any single place in this world. You don't have to come to England, I'll fight you in Canada next to America, I'm not bothered."

Fury has been pushing behind the scenes with his legal team to be allowed into America, which would make the fight considerably easier to make. But he insists that Paul has made the process seem simpler than it is, and it is taking a considerable amount of time to have the issue fixed.

"We're trying to sort it as we speak," Fury said. "But everybody thinks it's just a simple process of turning up and going to the embassy but it's not, it takes time and my lawyers are on to that now, and trying to do everything they can to get this fight on.

"Hopefully we can get it resolved and I can go to America and fight him, but if I can't, I'll fight him anywhere else in the world. I can't say it fairer than that. What more can I say? I'll fight him anywhere else on the planet, you pick, not bothered and I'll be there."

Fury has stayed training in the UK, and has been spending time competing in triathlons as he waits for his return to the ring to be finalised. Mirror Fighting understands that his promotional team at Queensberry Promotions are currently looking at other options, but nothing has been finalised as yet.
