Tommy Fury's dad expects Jake Paul to never box again following their grudge fight this weekend.
Fury has shared a long-term rivalry with YouTube star Paul since his arrival in the boxing world, with the pair first agreeing to a fight following the latter's win over Tyron Woodley in 2021. However Fury was forced to withdraw after suffering a broken rib, and after the pair agreed to a second attempted meeting this year it collapsed once again with the Briton banned from travelling to the US.
The pair will finally touch gloves this weekend at the third time of asking. And Fury's father John, who has been mentoring his son in his boxing career, believes Fury is by far the toughest examination of Paul's fighting credentials.
“He won’t box again after getting in the ring with Tommy," Fury Sr told Mirror Fighting courtesy of FreeBets.com when asked to assess Paul's chances against his son. "It will be the end of his career on the 26th. If he doesn’t bottle it before, he won’t want to fight again after this because he is going to get a real good hiding.
"We are away from home and I believe he is a co-promoter so we are looking to knock him out. That is what we are training to do to knock him out. Tommy is a big strong man who wants to win, he is all round too good for him. He has been tested a couple of times with a lot better fighters than Jake Paul and has come through with flying colours."
This will be Paul's seventh fight after six wins against fighters with limited squared circle experience. Fury has not fought since his lacklustre exhibition against Rolly Lambert in Dubai last year, which saw him come face to face with Paul once again.

Fury's dad John was heavily involved in the chaotic scenes that unfolded, taking his shirt off and threatening to leave the ring and confront Paul who heckled his rival from the commentary box. And Fury Sr has hit out at his son's rival brandishing him a coward and a child.
He continued: “That night I saw what I expected from him to be honest. He is a little cowardly boy who is in an overgrown boy's body. Is he a man? No. He is a kid and he is going to get spanked for being naughty. This kid is not an actual fighter, he is not fighting an old MMA fighter. He is fighting a 23-year-old, quick, hard-punching and ferocious fighting machine. Forget what we did in Dubai, this is a serious matter and it is a real fight."
