Tommy Fury appeared on Thursday’s This Morning and responded to allegations that he had cheated on his ex fiancée Molly-Mae Hague.
The boxer found love with the influencer on season five of Love Island and they welcomed their first child together last January.
However, the pair announced their split in August after five years together with Molly-Mae taking to Instagram to confirm the news with a heartbreaking statement.
Since their break-up, rumours circulated of Fury being unfaithful to the 25-year-old, which he has denied.
And on Thursday’s installment of the mid-morning show, he was pressed about their relationship and asked whether he hoped they’d “get back together”.
Speaking to hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, Fury, who is promoting his memoir Lighting Can Strike Twice: My Life as a Fury, responded: “They are my family and I’ll love them till the day I die.
Then he addressed accusations that he cheated on Molly-Mae.
He continued: “A lot of stuff has been put out there. The whole world has seen what we've been going through for the past few months, but yeah, I added a last chapter [in the book] where I talked about all my feelings and how I felt during this time and to keep everybody up to date.
“It has been tough but you can read about it in there.”Before adding: “Me and Molly and Bambi are a family unit, and we're going to tackle this in private.”
He continued: “There have been a lot of critics out there and there will be a lot of critics there till the day I die, and will point the finger when there’s a bandwagon to jump on, but out of respect to Molly and out of respect to myself and our relationship,
“I’m going to let us deal with that in private as much as we can. I’m just happy to be here and talk about my book, and I want to leave all that stuff to me and Molly, because I think we owe it to ourselves to do that.”
Despite experiencing some "hard times" after the split, Tommy stated that he's now "feeling good” and has been focusing on his boxing training, promoting his book, and taking care of their 20-month-old daughter, Bambi.
However, This Morning viewers were less than impressed with his remarks, with many taking to social media to express how they weren’t overly convinced by his answers regarding the split.
One tweeted on X: “Tommy Fury dodging questions on This Morning. If he did nothing wrong then why not talk about it. Very quick to put everything out there when it benefits them though.”
“What a waste of 12 minutes,” another remarked while a third shared: “This has been 10 minutes longer than it needed to be.”
Fury had previously denied the allegations of cheating over the weekend. He told MailOnline: "All the allegations that were made of me recently are completely false.
"I think if you were going to cheat on someone you should just sit down and say, 'I don't love you any more', clearly, because you want to go and pursue other people.
"Everybody could think what they want about me and say what they want about me.
"As long as my family think I'm a good man and Jesus Christ thinks I'm a good man, I don't care what anybody else has to say."
