Tom Schwartz recently expressed his frustration with Ariana Madix's behavior on Vanderpump Rules. During the show's after show, Schwartz revealed that he felt Madix's attitude hindered his attempt to invite the group, including Madix's ex Tom Sandoval, on a group trip to celebrate the opening of Lisa Vanderpump's new restaurant, Wolf, in Lake Tahoe.
Schwartz explained that he had a plan and wanted to speak to each individual privately about the trip because he believed that if he did it in a group setting with Madix present, it would turn into a chaotic situation. However, when Schwartz approached the group, Madix rejected his invitation, as did everyone else. Schwartz felt cornered and described the interaction as a 'public stoning.'
According to Schwartz, Madix started belittling him and he considered it one of her lower moments. He admitted that his mind shuts down when someone yells at him and compared his mental state during the confrontation to that of a stressed goat falling over. Schwartz also expressed annoyance that Madix spoke on behalf of the other girls without him even addressing the issue with them yet.
Schwartz has faced criticism for standing by Sandoval after it was revealed that Sandoval had been having an affair with their friend and castmate, Rachel 'Raquel' Leviss. He mentioned that he became synonymous with the affair and was unfairly blamed for it. Schwartz believes that Madix directed her pent-up rage towards Sandoval at him, which he finds absurd.
Madix, on the other hand, dismissed Schwartz's comments, stating that his behavior is the reason they are no longer friends. She emphasized that someone who hasn't spoken to her since the reunion in mid-March cannot accurately speak to who she is as a person. During the episode, Madix made it clear that she didn't want to be around Schwartz or her ex.
Despite the ongoing tension, Schwartz continues his efforts to sway the group. However, Madix firmly stated that she gave up on him a long time ago and that her life is better without him. The drama continues to unfold on Vanderpump Rules, which airs on Bravo on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
