Tom Parker to be honoured at The Wanted club night in Newcastle with donations to cancer charity

Tom Parker is to be remembered at a club night dedicated to The Wanted in Newcastle this weekend, with donations going to a cancer charity.

It was Tom's wife Kelsey, who had two children with the singer, that broke the news on Wednesday afternoon that Tom had died at the age of just 33 after battling terminal brain tumour Posting a black and white picture of him and a picture of the whole family, she wrote: "It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side.

"Our hearts are broken, Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence"

Kelsey added: "We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children."

News of Tom's passing prompted a wealth of tributes, with his death coming just weeks after he joined The Wanted bandmates Max George, Nathan Sykes, Jay McGuinness and Siva Kaneswaran on the group's reunion tour. And now he will be celebrated at a night in Newcastle themed around the boyband's many hits.

On Sunday, April 3 city centre haunt Studio will host a Wanted special of its weekly night Sunday Funday. As well as being in memory of Tom, the night will aim raise money as much money as possible for the Stand up to Cancer charity.

Entry will be free but revellers who head to the Hood Street haunt are urged to donate on arrival. It will run from 8pm-midnight and a teaser for the event reads: "We will be playing all of The Wanted's hits along with all of the tracks from their albums. This one is for Tom."

Advance tickets can be ordered from Eventbrite, where you'll also be able to make a donation.
