Tom Parker's wife Kelsey tells fans he fought hard 'until the very end' as he dies aged 33

Tom Parker's wife Kelsey has told fans that The Wanted star fought 'to the very end' as she confirmed his death at the age of just 33.

Back in the autumn of 2020, singer Tom broke the devastating news tat he'd been diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour, but vowed to battle it with all his might. After receiving his diagnosis, Tom underwent extensive treatment and, most recently, was forced to miss the first few dates of The Wanted's reunion tour, due to having treatment in Spain.

He made a vow to join his The Wanted bandmates Max George, Nathan Sykes, Jay McGuinness and Siva Kaneswaran on the tour and, to the delight of himself, the rest of the group and their many fans, he achieved his aim, receiving a rapturous reception at every venue he appeared at.

It was Kelsey, who Tom had two children with, that broke the news on Wednesday afternoon that Tom had died. Posting a black and white picture of him and a picture of the whole family, she wrote: "It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side.

"Our hearts are broken, Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence"

Kelsey added: ". We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children."

Paying tribute to Tom, Kelsey added: "Thank you to everyone who has supported in his care throughout, he fought until the very end. I’m forever proud of you."

Comments flooded in in the comments section of Kelsey's moving post. Singer Ella Henderson responded: " Sending so much love to you and all the family my darling!!!! He was an absolute bright light & he will shine on you & the kids for the rest of time," while Geordie Shore's Marnie Simpson wrote: " So sorry for your loss, sending all the love and strength to you and your Family."
