Tom Parker's wife Kelsey recalls struggle of late husband's final day on Loose Women

Tom Parker's wife Kelsey shared the struggle of her late husband's final day before he passed away.

The Wanted singer lost his two year battle with cancer and sadly passed away on March 30.

Tom, 33, and Kelsey, 32, share two young children together - two year-old Aurelia and nine-month-old Bodhi.

Throughout Tom's illness, the singer campaigned to spread cancer awareness and remained optimistic throughout his worsening condition.

And following Tom's tragic passing, his cherished wife Kelsey explained how she broke the news to her daughter before he passed.

Appearing on Loose Women today, she said: "When Tom went into the hospice, she was really confused…

"I did say to her he wouldn’t be coming home from the hospice and on the Wednesday when he did die, I was leaving to go to the hospice and I just said to her, 'I've got to go to make sure the angels take daddy. The angels are coming to collect him,' which is a really horrible conversation.

"The next day I had to tell her her dad’s dead. This is the advice I got - to be honest. I said, 'Dad's dead and he’s not coming back.'

"So she's still trying to digest that." She continued: "The fact I met Tom at 19 in a really tough industry.... We were soulmates. We loved each other so much, he was my best friend… I found the love of my life at the age of 19 and I’ve spent all these years with him. How lucky am I to say I found love? I was so in love with him."

The mum-of-two opened up about how she's found strength following Tom's passing.

The brave mum, 32, told the panel that she feels blessed and 'forever grateful' to have found her soulmate Tom in this life, because 'some people never experience that kind of love'.

"Tom was the love of my life. We were soulmates - we used to say that to each other all the time," Kelsey gushed.

"I've known Tom since I was 19 and we had all those wonderful years together. I just have to count myself lucky," she added.

During her interview, Kelsey also revealed that she's had 'signs' from Tom since his passing in March.

“I feel strong, I’m just getting through each day. I have the kids. I have to wake up each day, I have to get on with it, just trying to be as strong as possible in a really difficult situation and time for us all," the mum told.

“He has given me so many signs - car alarms go off at 4 in the morning. I’m like, ‘Not 4 in the morning, Tom.” I do talk to him and that’s a release as well. I can feel him there.”

On keeping Tom’s legacy alive, Kelsey said: “It’s about the kids and learning and celebrating him. I want to be able to talk about their dad. Even the final moments were magical. That’s the sort of person he was.

“Did I think I was going to be a widow at 32 with two children? It’s so shocking. But I have to live my life and that’s what Tom would have wanted me to do.”

Following her appearance on Loose Women, emotional viewers flocked to Twitter to praise brave Kelsey.

"Kelsey Parker is an angel on earth. What a strong woman," one gushed.

"Heartbreaking watching Tom Parker's wife talk so lovingly about him - and she's so positive. Very brave lady," another echoed.

"Kelsey deserves all the love in the world," a third tweeted.
