The Wanted's Tom Parker has died at the age of 33 after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Father of two Tom who was diagnosed with the incurable glioblastoma in 2020 had been battling the disease with the help of his wife Kelsey and specialist care.
It comes after he previously told fans his condition was stable following an MRI scan and underwent special treatment at a clinic in Spain, ahead of The Wanted: UK Reunion tour.
Tom, who was so proud of his children Aurelia, two, and Bodhi, one, had joined his bandmates Max George, Nathan Sykes and Siva Kaneswaran in a throne at some of their gigs despite his weakening condition.
He had been unable to fly back to Scotland in time for the Hydro gig but was seen in a wheelchair and remained upbeat on his social media.
His wife Kelsey issued a statement saying: "It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side.
"Our hearts are broken.
"Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence.
"We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children.
"Thank you to everyone who has supported in his care throughout. He fought until the very end."
Tom was always ready with a joke and a cheeky smile wherever he went and even made friends with a Scots mum Lori Houlihan on his cancer ward.
It was an unlikely friendship – a member of a chart-topping boyband and the vice provost of one of the world’s leading universities but the two became treatment buddies.
