Tom Parker celebrates The Wanted's gig at O2 with Max George amid cancer battle

Tom Parker looked in good sprits as he celebrated The Wanted's return to London's O2 with bandmate Max George.

The father-of-two, 33, is back in business after missing part of the gang's nationwide tour having undergone cancer treatment in Spain.

Tom was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in 2020, but has continued to fight as he remains determined to 'stay positive'.

Having to pull out of the first leg of the tour, Tom made his debut in Bournemouth before rocking the stage in London last night.

Giddy with the excitement of it all, Max George, 33, took to Instagram filming the huge arena before the band went on stage, telling his followers it was the "big one".

The gig went down a storm with fans, who loved seeing the noughties pin-ups back in action with their greatest hits.

As they wound down backstage after their epic performance, Max told fans: "We've just done the London 02 again, it was awesome!"

Tom, who was wearing a big winter coat and shades, replied: "Yes brother".

Max continued: "It was so good. Guys, thanks for all the love. We shall see you... when are we doing it again?"

Tom said he had "no idea" to which Max laughed and said: "I don't either, see you soon."

The gang are in fact back in action tonight in Hull, before moving onto Liverpool.

Tom has bravely kept his fans updated as he continues to fight his cancer diagnosis.

Last week Max praised his friend for his resilience as he shared a picture of him in his wheelchair.

Accompanied by Justin Timberlake's SexyBack, Tom is seen flashing a peace sign, wearing a beanie and sunglasses, to which Max captioned: "I mean...come on".

The Mirror spoke to Tom and his wife Kelsey at the Pride of Britain Awards.

Speaking ahead of the emotional evening, he said: "Things like this always warm the heart. These people are beyond incredible and they’ve been through so much. It puts life into perspective. Sometimes the world can be full of darkness, but days like this and people like this bring such joy."

He also told us: "Days like this put things into perspective. There's plenty of other people who've been through worse things than we've been through.

"We're here to celebrate them tonight. Live each day as if it's your last."

Kelsey and Tom have been together for 10 years and have two children, daughter Aurelia, two, and son Bodhi, one.

The star recently paid tribute to his wife on her 32nd birthday, saying: "Happy Birthday to the love of my life @being_kelsey have the best day! You deserve the world."
