Luton Town have confirmed that Tom Lockyer has been taken to hospital and is responsive after collapsing during Saturday's Championship play-off final.
The Wales international went down just after 10 minutes into his side's clash with Coventry City at Wembley, appearing to lose his footing while tracking back to get into position.
After failing to get back to his feet, the defender required medical attention from the staff of both teams, before leaving the field on a stretcher.
He was then seen taking oxygen as he was carried down the tunnel, with his family rushing down from the stands to check on his condition.
Luton have since confirmed that the 28-year-old has been taken to hospital to undergo further assessments, adding that he is now responsive and talking to his family.
The club tweeted: "We are able to report that after collapsing on the pitch, Tom Lockyer has been taken to hospital for further tests.
"He is responsive and talking to his family, who are with him. We are all with you, Locks."
