More than two dozen of the UK’s top chefs will come together for a special dinner to raise funds for Hospitality Action, a charity that supports those in the service industry who’ve fallen on hard times.
On March 27, chefs including Tom Kerridge, Tommy Banks, Ollie Dabbous, Tom Booton, Sabrina Gidda and Sally Abé will join forces to cook for the one-night-only affair, with the aim to “curate a dinner experience like no other”. It will be held at the QEII Centre in Westminster.
Between the 25 chefs set to cook on the day, there is a collective 28 Michelin stars, a galaxy of talent. Each table will enjoy a special menu that, according to Hospitality Action, will feature “dishes designed and curated by six top chefs, whilst enjoying spectacular views across Westminster.”
Alongside the likes of Banks, Abé and Kerridge, the kitchen brigade will feature Brett Graham of the Ledbury, Mark Birchall of Moor Hall in Aughton, Atul Kochhar of Kanishka, and Ben Murphy, formerly of Launceston Place, with the dinner hosted by acclaimed chef and bestselling author, Sabrina Ghayour.
Funds raised will go towards supporting the vital work of Hospitality Action, a charity which offers support to help hospitality workers get back on their feet. Its work supports those in the hospitality industry coping with a range of challenges, from physical illness and mental health issues to financial difficulty, family problems and addiction.
Mark Lewis, chief executive at Hospitality Action told the Standard: “Rising costs over the last few years have put immense pressure on hospitality businesses and means applications for our assistance remain persistently high. Yet we are blessed to have the ongoing support of an industry that so actively supports our work.
“This extraordinary evening is set to be one of the most talked-about events of the year, made possible by the remarkable dedication of 25 incredible chefs and all those who have worked tirelessly to bring the event to life."
Hosted at the the QEII Centre in Westminster, the dinner will see the modern space transformed into an elegant dining room, with the tables offering views over the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye. The evening will also have live music until late, and there will be a dancefloor.
Tickets to the event can be purchased at £714.00 per person for an entire private table, or £750.00 per person for an individual place. All proceeds will be donated to Hospitality Action.
