"I was in Berlin making a film called Uncharted with Mark Wahlberg and we were all ready to go, we went to set for day one shooting and then we got shut down and we all got sent home,” he explained while appearing on the Jimmy Kimmel show via videolink back in April.

"So whether we shoot that movie first or we shoot Spider-Man first I am unclear,” he added.

The Uncharted movie had already been subject to delays, with its release pushed back numerous times as new writers and directors joined the project.

The first Uncharted game was released in in 2007 and followed by three sequels.

With over 41 million copies sold worldwide, the series is one of the most successful video game franchises of all-time.
