Tom Hiddleston and Taylor Swift had a whirlwind romance which can crashing down after just three months.
There wasn't just the pain of the split, as it was reported that the relationship had devastating consequences for any dreams Tom had of becoming James Bond.
Just weeks after splitting up from Scottish DJ Calvin Harris in June 2016, Taylor started seeing Tom and he even met her parents in Nashville in July that year.
There was a lot of speculation flying around about the romance, but people were stunned when Tom was seen wearing a t-shirt with 'I heart T.S.' written on it during her Fourth of July celebrations.
Tom, who is now engaged to Zawe Aston, put the rumors that his relationship with Taylor was just for publicity to bed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
He said: "Well, um. How best to put this? The truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together and we're very happy. Thanks for asking. That's the truth. It’s not a publicity stunt."
But cracks started to form in Hiddleswift.

Reports began cirulating that the relationship was fizzling out and they were struggling to make their schedules work, as well as claims he wanted them to shout about it more.
"Tom wants their relationship to be public, even asking Taylor to go to the Emmys with him, but Taylor wants to keep her private life private," a source told the Daily Mail.
They added: "Tom's need for their relationship to be so public so quickly makes her uncomfortable. She tried to be OK with it in the beginning but fears he is in love with the idea of her and not falling in love with her for the right reasons."
However, Taylor wasn't happy with Tom's desire to make their relationship so public and they ended up breaking up in August 2016.
A source told Us Weekly: "She was the one to put the brakes on the relationship. Tom wanted the relationship to be more public than she was comfortable with.
"Taylor knew the backlash that comes with public displays of affection but Tom didn't listen to her concerns when she brought them up."
The source added that Tom was feeling "embarrassed" by the breakup, while an insider told People magazine: "It was an amicable split."
The Night Manager star was tipped to take over from Daniel Craig as James Bond, but reports emerged that the whole Taylor romance had dented his chances.
Apparently, Tom had lost the air of 'mystery' needed to play the smooth secret service spy, with a source telling The Sun: "Tom's cool performance in The Night Manager saw him as a late contender for 007, but initial talks have come to an end.
"Bond needs an air of mystery – his public romance with Taylor has made him totally uncastable.2
Tom had previously told Garham Norton that no one had spoken to him about taking on the role of Bond.
"I think the rumours have all come about because in the Night Manager I play a spy and people have made the link," he added.
While he also downplayed rumours while speaking at a panel event in Philadelphia in June 2016.
"I'm sorry to disappoint you, everybody. I don’t think that announcement is coming," said the actor.
"But I'm very gratified to hear the enthusiasm. There's not much that I can say that I haven’t already said, but I know… Your guess is as good as mine to be honest."
Now that Daniel Craig has confirmed he has definitely left the role of Bond, the rumour mill has started up again and Tom is one of the names being touted.
However, the Loki star told Empire magazine in April last year that the constant speculation has led him to tread very carefully around the subject.
"What can I say that you don’t already know?" he said. "It's interesting in itself that I've suddenly become very aware of what I'm saying, is it not?
"Because there's something about what I'm saying that becomes the story. Not for you, but for the world outside. Whatever I say, I've found, generated more questions."
