Tom Hiddleston has finally confirmed his engagement to British actress Zawe Ashton.
After much speculation, the Hollywood actor 41, confirmed his happy news in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.
He told the publication: "I'm very happy" - before he quickly moved the conversation back to his work commitments.
The Essex Serpent actor confirmed that he proposed to Fresh Meat actress Zawe, 37, back in March.
The lovebirds first met while co-starring as husband and wife in the 2019 West End revival of Harold Pinter’s Betrayal.
During the candid interview with LA Times, Tom confirmed that he is set to wed the beauty - but he kept tight lipped about their famously low-key romance, simply stating: 'I'm very happy".
The smitten pair previously sparked engagement rumours when they appeared at the BAFTA Awards earlier this year.
At the Awards, Zawe was pictured wearing a huge diamond on her ring finger in a snap which was shared by host AJ Odudu and it quickly gained mass attention.
And in a clever red carpet move, Zawe concealed her stunning diamond ring from photographers as she allowed her billowing gown to fall over her hands.
She also held hands with Tom on the red carpet to deter photographers from focusing on the bling on her ring finger.
Tom and Zawe first confirmed their romance during a PDA-filled holiday at the beach in Ibiza in September last year .
A number of weeks later, they made their red carpet debut together at the Tony Awards in New York City.
Last year, the pair had moved in together after months of romance rumours.
They are now said to be living together in Atlanta, Georgia.
Tom and Zawe are rumoured to be 'very well suited' and are the perfect match for one another.
An insider told The Sun : "Tom and Zawe have stayed quiet about their relationship but she has spent the last few weeks with him in the US.
"They are very well suited and enjoy the quieter side of life away from the glitz and glamour of the showbiz world.
"Tom really has fallen for Zawe in a big way. But he is so paranoid about his private life since his relationship with Taylor that he has gone to great lengths to keep this under wraps."
