Shedeur Sanders found himself in a pretty good situation when he spoke to reporters Tuesday afternoon. His team was just announced as the No. 22 team in the country after a huge win over TCU on Saturday and apparently he has one of the best athletes in history in his ear. And no, it’s not his dad.
The Colorado quarterback was talking to reporters about Tom Brady, who he’s associated with because of an NIL deal he has with his apparel company, and revealed the seven-time Super Bowl champion had a three-word message for him after Saturday’s win.
“He texted me after the game: ‘don’t be satisfied,’” Sanders recalled. “It was cool hearing from him, knowing he’s still watching and stuff like that.”

Sanders broke the school’s record for passing yards in his debut, throwing for 510 yards and four touchdowns. His performance immediately catapulted him into the conversation as one of the better signal-callers in the country while also boosting the Buffaloes’ national stock as well.
Sanders will next take the field Saturday at 12 p.m. ET against Nebraska on Fox, where he’ll look to impress Brady and the entire country once again.
