Tom Brady’s role with the Raiders is fueling speculation that he will leave Fox this offseason

Tom Brady’s conflict of interest between his Fox broadcasting work and his ownership stake with the Las Vegas Raiders is nothing new.

Back in October, our Andrew Joseph wrote about how impossible it was for Brady to do his job and own an NFL team with all the restrictions put on him. The GOAT QB wasn’t dinged for possible violations of those restrictions this past season, although he’s got a few more games to broadcast this NFL season including … the Super Bowl!

But now, after the Raiders fired head coach Antonio Pierce, the rumblings about Brady’s role with the organization — Dianna Russini reported Brady will have “a lot” of influence on who the next head coach will be — have fueled speculation that he’d leave Fox after one year.

The Athletic’s Richard Deitsch predicted Brady would walk away before the 2025 season.

Ex-Marlins owner David Samson said on Dan Le Batard’s show that he’s not coming back.

Columns are being written now about the conflict of interest, the idea of Brady searching for a coach for one team while trying to cover two others each week.

It’s at the speculation level right now. But we’ll see what happens after Brady finishes his first year in the booth.
