When Colorado faced an eight-point deficit in the fourth quarter against rival Colorado State, a victory appeared unattainable for the Buffaloes on Saturday night.
That is until Shedeur Sanders orchestrated a 98-yard scoring drive capped with a 45-yard touchdown pass to Jimmy Horn Jr. and a two-point conversion to tie the game at 28 at the end of regulation. Sanders, the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer and Colorado coach Deion Sanders, later led the Buffaloes to a double overtime win against the Rams in the Rocky Mountain Showdown.
When Sanders revealed that he channeled his “Brady mode” in the 98-yard touchdown drive on the ESPN broadcast after the game, Tom Brady tweeted the perfect emojis in response to signal caller’s statement.
It is not unusual for Sanders and the former seven-time Super Bowl champion to communicate after games. When Colorado defeated TCU in its season opener, Brady texted Sanders a three-word message, saying “don’t be satisfied” after the signal caller broke the program’s record for passing yards in his first game.

Sanders is also part of Tom Brady’s clothing brand, Brady. He was the first individual athlete Brady signed as part of a NIL deal that dates back to the quarterback’s tenure at Jackson State.
