Tom Brady, Raiders Minority Owner, Had Straightforward Advice for Team’s QBs Before Game

Tom Brady isn’t playing football this fall in the NFL for the first time in over two decades—as far as we know.

But that doesn’t mean he won’t still have a hand in the game this season.

Brady is now a minority owner of the Raiders, who are being led by his former offensive coordinator in New England, Josh McDaniels, while being led under center by his former backup with the Patriots, Jimmy Garoppolo.

As the Raiders took the field on Saturday night against the Cowboys in preseason action, Brady was seen in the tunnel alongside the Las Vegas quarterbacks—including Garoppolo, Brian Hoyer, Aidan O’Connell and Chase Garbers. Before the group ran out of the tunnel, Brady was caught on camera saying, “Go ruin their night.”

There’s no doubt that Brady misses taking the field and playing the game of football, but he certainly is settling into his new role off the field nicely, fully embracing retired life and his removal from the daily grind of being a professional athlete.
