Tom Brady has branded claims he may reconsider his big-money broadcasting deal with FOX Sports as "fake news".
Brady, who retired from the NFL "for good" in February, has already agreed a $375m (£297m), 10-year role to join Fox as an NFL analyst. It is anticipated he will begin that deal in 2024 after having some time out after the end of his glittering playing career.
A report from the New York Post claimed this week that Brady was reconsidering his options after football and may back out of the deal. However, in response to a post sharing that story on Instagram, Brady replied to deny that is the case.
Speaking to Colin Cowherd on FOX Sports shortly after his retirement in February, Brady confirmed he would not be taking on his new role until after this season.
'"Decompression's really important," he said. "You're on this really crazy treadmill, hamster wheel for a long time, loving the moment and journey. At the same time, it's a daily fight.
"I have appreciation for so many people that are so committed every day to showing up, to put their max effort into their life and career.
"For me, I want to be great at what I do — talking, even last week, with the people at Fox Sports, and the leadership there, allowing me to start my Fox opportunity in 2024, something that's great for me.
"So, take some time to really learn, become great at what I want to do, become great about thinking about the opportunity, and making sure I don't rush into anything."
Despite insisting he is now retired "for good" after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were beaten in the NFL play-offs last season, Brady recently fuelled some comeback speculation when asked if he could return to play for the Miami Dolphins.

Speaking at a tech event in the city, the seven-time Super Bowl winner said: "Oh man. I will say, now that I'm not affiliated with any teams anymore, and I have strong ties with a couple teams, I do have some friends on the Dolphins that I really like.
"I wouldn't necessarily say that I root for them all the time, but I root for my friends to do well, and several of them play for Miami."
However, when rumours of a comeback gathered pace, Brady took to social media to pour cold water on any speculation, writing: "Anyone who thinks I have time to come back to the NFL has never adopted a 2 month old kitten for their daughter."
He has now taken to social media to deny reports over his next move and appeared to confirm he is committed to his highly-anticipated move to the broadcast booth next year.
