TAMPA, Fla. ― Tom Brady was busy Thursday shaking off an injury to the ring finger on his right throwing hand. And shaking. And shaking.
Over and over again during the portion of practice open to the media, Brady would grip a football, throw a pass and then look down at his hand before shaking it.
At one point, Brady had something sprayed on his right hand.
During Monday’s “Let’s Go!” podcast with Jim Gray, Brady admitted he hurt his finger against the Saints.
“I banged it up pretty good,” Brady said. “But, you know, it didn’t affect me at all in the game. It’s just going to be sore throughout the week. One of those bumps and bruises that come along with playing. ...
“It’s demolition derby out there. It’s who can recover fast enough in order to put yourself in a position to practice, prepare and then go play well the next week.”
Though seemingly bothered by the finger during practice, Brady did not appear on Thursday’s injury report.
When asked about his finger Thursday, Brady said he was okay.
“I feel great,” he said. “It’s football season, so ...”
