To quote The Wolf of Wall Street, Brady “ain’t leaving.”
In an interview with the Sports Business Journal on Thursday, Don Yee, Brady’s agent, said his client intends to honor his contract and return to the Fox broadcast booth next season.
“Tom has had a tremendous amount of fun working with Fox this year, and he’s really excited about the future with Fox and his growth on their team,” Yee said. “And this year was the first year of a long relationship.”
After Joe Buck and Troy Aikman departed for ESPN, Fox signed Brady to a massive 10-year, $375 million contract in 2022 to be their lead NFL color commentator. This is the first year of Brady’s contract.
Brady’s relationship with Fox caused issues when the NFL approved him as a limited owner of the Raiders. Brady will also be on the collaborative committee to find a new coach after Raiders owner Mark Davis fired Antonio Pierce.
While the NFL has imposed a set of restrictions on Brady, there has been some internet outrage over the seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback’s involvement in Saturday’s game between the Washington Commanders and Detroit Lions. Ben Johnson, Detroit’s offensive coordinator, is one of the favorites to land the Raiders job, so some believe that having Brady call the Lions’ game is a conflict of interest.

Brady will be in the booth when the No. 1 Lions host the No. 6 Commanders on Saturday, Jan 18.
Brady and Kevin Burkhardt will call the game for Fox from the booth, while Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi will report from the sidelines. Mike Pereira will serve as the rules analyst.
The game kicks off at 8 p.m. ET on Fox. Pregame coverage starts at 7:30 p.m. ET.
