A toddler has died after he fell into a creek in Adelaide's northern suburbs on Sunday.

The one-year-old boy was pulled from the Little Para River at Paralowie at about 9:30am on Easter Sunday.

Paramedics performed CPR on the boy at the scene before he was rushed to the Lyell McEwin Hospital.

He was later transferred to the Women's and Children's Hospital where South Australia Police said he died on Monday afternoon.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
