Toddler dead after being struck by car

Police are investigating after a two year old was knocked down and killed by a car in Dandenong. (Joel Carrett/AAP PHOTOS)

A toddler has died after being struck by a car in Melbourne's southeast.

The collision happened at McFee's Road in Dandenong North just after midday on Sunday.

CPR was performed but the 2-year-old died at the scene of the crash.

The driver stopped and is assisting the investigation.

Victoria Police said the exact circumstances of the collision have not yet been determined and anyone with dashcam footage is urged to come forward.
