Todd Cantwell has revealed his knee injury is "not so straightforward" in a worrying update to Rangers fans.
The midfielder will be sidelined for the next three to four matches after Michael Beale confirmed the fitness issue.
Cantwell suffered a knee knock in the final match before the international break against Celtic.
Beale confirmed the injury blow in press duties on Friday with the key figure ruled out for three to four weeks.
And Cantwell has now opened up on his injury as he shared a message on his personal Instagram account.
On his story, he posted: "Thank you for all the continued support and messages.
"I'll be back as soon as I can, it's not so straightforward but for now I'll be with you all as a fan."
Beale had earlier confirmed: "The strongest team will play the next game, Tom Lawrence is now fully fit, Roofe is in a really good place.
"Unfortunately, Todd Cantwell will miss the next 3 or 4 games, and Dowell will also miss out.
"Todd (Cantwell) was an issue with his knee in a challenge towards the end of the game. He should be returning in 3/4 weeks.
"Kieran (Dowell) is now back jogging and should be 3/4 weeks away also."
