Todd Boehly told how much it could cost Chelsea to replace Jorginho amid contract 'demand'

Todd Boehly has been told how much it could cost to replace Jorginho with the midfielder facing an increasingly uncertain future at Chelsea. The 30-year-old sees his deal at Stamford Bridge expire at the end of the season and potential suitors have begun to queue up for his signature.

However, Jorginho has told the Blues how Graham Potter can retain his services in west London. According to Diario Sport, the Italy international wants Chelsea to more-than double his wages in order for him to pen a new deal.

It's said that he wants his £5.5million-per-year salary boosted to £12million. Coincidentally or not, Jorginho has been at the centre of the Blues' poor form lately so, with Potter eager to stamp his mark on the side, acquiring a replacement for the Italian in January could be an option.

So, with that being said, football.london has taken a look at three primary candidates to replace Jorginho at Chelsea.

Declan Rice - £131million

Rice has been linked with a return to Chelsea for some time now but a deal doesn't appear any easier to complete. In February, football.london understood that as far as West Ham side were concerned, nothing had changed and the 23-year-old was not for sale at any price.

It was believed that the club had no interest in letting their key man leave the club at any cost. He's under contract until 2024, with the Hammers holding a further one-year option to extend his deal until the summer of 2025.

For many supporters, Rice would be the perfect option who covers all bases. Out of the three players mentioned here, he's better suited to replacing what Jorginho offers.

According to Fabrizio Romano, West Ham want almost €150million (£131million) for their captain.

Jude Bellingham - £131million

Bellingham would likely be the most headline-grabbing signing out of the three, though he's more of a No.8 than a No.6. However, that shouldn't rule him out of proceedings entirely.

The 19-year-old been subject to long-term interest from Chelsea, football.london understand. The Blues watched the England international during his time as an academy player at Birmingham City but, after failing to act on their interest, Dortmund swooped in and signed Bellingham instead.

According to The Athletic, Dortmund do not necessarily want to sell Bellingham, and they've set an asking price of €150million (£131million).

Moises Caicedo - £68million

Caicedo was heavily linked with an exit from the Amex Stadium in the summer after impressing under Potter on the south coast. And, Chelsea said to be one of several clubs who could prise the 21-year-old away from Brighton in the near future.

The Ecuadorian, who reportedly has a £68million asking price, admitted that he would like to reunite with his former boss at Stamford Bridge. Speaking to Ole, as quoted by the Evening Standard, the Brighton star said: "It made me very sad now that he left for Chelsea because he helped me a lot and I wanted to continue having him as a manager, but that’s football.

"Right now I’m very focused on Brighton and the World Cup. I want to have a great World Cup and then we’ll see what happens. I think they are one of the best teams in the world and nobody would turn down an offer from Chelsea or any other club like that," he added. "It’d be a dream to be in the best teams in the world and succeed there."

Caicedo would be the cheaper of the three named options. Having previously worked closely with Potter, he - naturally - becomes the most likely option. But as Marc Cucurella struggles, Todd Boehly may be inclined to take his business elsewhere.
