Todd Boehly has been spotted in attendance at Stamford Bridge again as his Chelsea Football Club takeover nears its completion. The American businessman is leading a consortium who have agreed to a deal to take over at Chelsea, and he is in attendance for this evening's clash with Leicester City.
Boehly was also present for the Blues' last home game against Wolves, where the side threw away a two-goal lead late on at the Bridge. Now, the American was once again spotted in attendance for the penultimate match of the Premier League season.
It's understood that Boehly's takeover of the club is closer than ever to being completed, with the Government and the Premier League nearing a deal. There had been conflicting reports just hours before.

Chelsea released a statement on May 7 where the Club confirmed that a takeover with the Boehly-led consortium had been agreed, and less than 24 hours later, he was at Stamford Bridge for the draw with Wolves. The statement read: "Chelsea Football Club can confirm that terms have been agreed for a new ownership group, led by Todd Boehly, Clearlake Capital, Mark Walter and Hansjoerg Wyss, to acquire the Club.
"Of the total investment being made, £2.5bn will be applied to purchase the shares in the Club and such proceeds will be deposited into a frozen UK bank account with the intention to donate 100% to charitable causes, as confirmed by Roman Abramovich. UK Government approval will be required for the proceeds to be transferred from the frozen UK bank account. In addition, the proposed new owners will commit £1.75bn in further investment for the benefit of the Club.
"This includes investments in Stamford Bridge, the Academy, the Women's Team and Kingsmeadow and continued funding for the Chelsea Foundation. The sale is expected to complete in late May, subject to all necessary regulatory approvals. More details will be provided at that time."
Chelsea fans will be hoping the sale of the Club is completed sooner rather than later as a new era is waiting to happen in west London. A huge squad revamp is expected to occur this summer, but the ownership situation needs to be sorted out before anything transfer-related is allowed to happen.
