Chelsea's predicament in the goalkeeper position has shown no signs of figuring itself out despite Kepa Arrizabalaga's impressive performances this season.
This season alone has seen a change in between the sticks. At the start of the season, Edouard Mendy was the man preferred by Thomas Tuchel, keeping one clean sheet and conceding nine in the first six games of the season.
Since Graham Potter was appointed, the 31-year-old has only made a five appearances after losing his place to Kepa. The Spaniard has retained the position after being a regular prior to Mendy's arrival in 2020 and has kept 11 clean sheets in 26 games.

Mendy has not played for Chelsea since before last year's World Cup and has been forced to watch Potter's side improve their form from the sidelines after sustaining a finger injury. And despite being close to returning to action in recent weeks, uncertainty over his future looms.
Both shot-stoppers are too good to be second choice to each other and conversations behind the scenes continue regarding the future of Chelsea’s famous No.1 strip. Kepa, currently, seems the most likely to remain at the club after showing enough quality throughout the season meaning Mendy could be sold in the summer as he enters the final two years of his contract.
One option that is reportedly being considered by the Chelsea hierarchy is including him in an offer to lure another goalkeeper to the club. According to Inter Live, the Blues are prepared to offer Mendy in exchange to sign Inter Milan's Andre Onana.
The report suggests that Boehly is willing to cough up at least £35million for Onana - who is valued at £26.2m by CIES Football Observatory - but could offer Mendy's service as an alternative method to sign the Cameroon international.
Onana isn't the only goalkeeper on Potter's potential targets to spearhead Chelsea's defence next season. Brentford's David Raya - who has turned down offers from the Bees over a new deal - has previously been linked whilst Brighton's Robert Sanchez and Leeds' Illan Meslier have also been named.
