William Gallas believes the Chelsea squad will have a look at Thomas Tuchel when adapting to playing for a new-look club. Todd Boehly's consortium and Clearlake Capital recently completed the takeover of the Blues in what is a new era for the football club.
Gallas, who signed for Chelsea in 2001, was part of the squad when Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich took over the west Londoners in 2003 when he purchased the club from Ken Bates. Abramovich took over and immediately started pumping money into the club and helped develop Chelsea into the European powerhouse they are today.
When a new owner does come into a club, there can be plenty of uncertainty – even for the players. However, Gallas recalled how it didn't have an impact on the players performing on the pitch and he also highlighted the significance of Tuchel in the process.

"I think that nobody knows about the new owner, but what I know doesn't change is when you're on the pitch, and it won't make any difference if you get a new owner," Gallas told football.london in an interview conducted by Genting Casino. "What they ask you to be is good and to perform at the game.
"You have your manager, Tuchel, the players know their manager well, so I don't think that new owner is going to affect the players. The players will be very focused with what they will have to do in training and at the game as well. The main person who is very good for them is Tuchel and not the new owners."
Boehly's got a big job on his hands to replicate what Abramovich achieved in his 19 years at the Club, but the American businessman has already reassured supporters that his consortium are "all in". He told the Club's website in May: "We are honoured to become the new custodians of Chelsea Football Club.
"We're all in – 100 per cent – every minute of every match. Our vision as owners is clear: We want to make the fans proud. Along with our commitment to developing the youth squad and acquiring the best talent, our plan of action is to invest in the Club for the long-term and build on Chelsea's remarkable history of success."
